Do you want to move from burden to blessings? Did you ever wake up with a gigantic to-do list running through your head? Your feet haven’t even touched the ground and you are already overwhelmed, stressed, and want to give up. You are tired and haven’t even gotten out of bed yet!!! How are you ever going to get all these things done? The list is endless and insurmountable. I used to wake up like that every day. I would hit the ground running. In fact, I thought if I didn’t, I would waste the day away. I had so much to do. I had to go go go get it all done. This to-do list hasn’t gone away, but my reaction to it has. I no longer let it ruin my day.
Most of you who know me, know I start every morning with my journal, a cup of coffee, and a little bit of prayer/meditation. I set a gorgeous intention for the day. How do I want to experience the day, what I want to enjoy that day, and what is the one thing I can do that will bring me love and joy? I also do write a to-do list, but it looks very different now. I look at my to-do list as a blessing. I get to pay the bills, I get to go shopping, I get to take my daughter to soccer practice. I feel privileged to be able to do these things. The list no longer feels like a burden but a beautiful opportunity to enjoy my life. I no longer worry about crossing things off and getting things done.
I now mark each to-do with “Thank you, I am blessed!” as they easily and naturally unfold. I don’t have to push or work so hard because my to-do list is not a burden but a blessing. I also don’t get upset or disappointed in myself for not completing my list because I feel grateful for the blessings I did get to complete! So anytime your to-do list becomes overwhelming and feels like a “have to” shift it to “ I get to” I am so blessed that I get to…” Today I get to write a blog about “I get to” instead of “ I have to”. ✔Thank You, I am blessed. Today I get to learn a new program. ✔Thank you. Today I get to clean my house. ✔Blessed. Feel into the shift! Move from a space of burden to blessings. You get this beautiful opportunity to choose how you want to experience life, work, and relationships.
With love and gratitude,
Anna
