It was not logical to drive 1.5 hours to the beach at 4:30 pm. It was not logical to walk on the beach, hear the waves and watch the sunset. It was not logical to sit and feel the sand on my toes, the warm sun on my face. Oh, but it felt so in alignment!

It did not make sense to order a lobster roll and soda for $42.00, then wait almost 1 hour for it. But it was magical. While I waited I moved my body to live music, experienced people laughing, singing, dancing, LIVING! All with the beauty of the sound as its canvas.

It was not logical to leave at 9 pm and sing and dance to 70s and 80s dance music all the way home.

I should have cleaned the house. I should have gone grocery shopping, I should have worked on my business.  There are so many “should haves” but I am so glad I didn’t.

Instead, I filled myself up with so much pleasure, joy, laughter and life. I listened to a desirer; choosing play over work. I smiled, I laughed, I filled my soul with joy! Now that is living. Saying Yes even when it is illogical.

What do you desire to experience today even if it doesn’t make sense? Do you have the courage to give yourself that experience?
